Navision was one of the most popular ERP systems worldwide.
Why was it so popular? Originally, Navision was the name of Microsoft’s software solution. It was later renamed Microsoft Dynamics NAV. Then, in 2018, it underwent its most recent renaming to Dynamics 365 Business Central. Over time, Microsoft has optimized its ERP software and expanded its offerings. To this day, the ERP solution has remained prominent in many industries and companies. Even though the ERP system no longer bears this name, “Navision” is still widely recognized.
Microsoft’s ERP solution has evolved over the years, with enhancements and enriched features and deployment options. This evolution has led to various name changes. For detailed information on all versions, we also provide you with our “Zeitreise-Blogartikel” (German Article).
We can provide support for older versions. If you decide to switch to us as a partner and only upgrade later, we already know your system and are well-equipped.
You do not have to upgrade directly to Dynamics 365 Business Central. We can also first improve your Dynamics NAV system as far as technically possible (e.g., add minor features or carry out small “technical updates”).
Are you ready to leave your aging Dynamics NAV solution behind and upgrade to a new, feature-rich Dynamics 365 Business Central platform? Excellent, that’s our daily business, as you can read in our references.

There are different methods for upgrading from Dynamics NAV to Dynamics 365 Business Central. Generally, the waterfall model or an agile approach are distinguished. We have developed our own agile methodology:
First, we conduct rough planning within 3-4 days (all necessary functionalities, project start, framework conditions).
Then, we proceed with the implementation in 4-week iterative phases or sprints. In each phase, we plan the sprint, conceptualize the tasks and the budget, and implement them. At the end of each phase, the client must test the implementations and assess the quality. Then, the next implementation phase begins. Any tasks that are not completed are carried over to the next implementation phase. This process is repeated in each of the implementation phases.
At the end, the implementations are compiled. Then, we train your team and let them extensively test the system before going live.
