Our Project with Topigs-SNW GmbH

The TOPIGS-SNW GmbH is one of the leading companies in the market for offering pig genetics. The company is constantly growing because more and more pig breeding companies are convinced by the products. The core business of TOPIGS-SNW GmbH is the supply of agricultural companies with high-quality gilts in terms of fertility, longevity, and fattening performance. In addition, agricultural companies are supplied with boar semen.

Initial Situation

“Our experts advise and support manufacturing companies so that they can fully exploit the potential of our genetics. For this purpose, we need an individual solution to have all the necessary operational information at hand and to be able to manage it in real-time, even while on the go.

Until now, we have been using four separate programs that were not interconnected.

Working with these isolated solutions consumed a lot of time due to the necessary switching between applications and multiple data entries.

Another issue arose from the fact that we did not have articles and inventory in the traditional sense, as we deal with live animals. Consequently, it was a challenge to represent this uniqueness in the program while still considering various billing cycles.
Our route planning was also suboptimal. Many pieces of information and processes were not reflected in the system but rather stored in the minds of employees. As a result, there was an increased reliance on additional Excel spreadsheets and paper documents. These documents then had to be scanned again after processing to be sent via email. This process cost us a lot of time and resources and errors occurred too often.”

Optimizing Field Service with the Anveo Mobile App
Through a mobile solution from Anveo, our field service team can now access real-time data. The data is continuously synchronized and immediately visible in Microsoft Dynamics NAV. This eliminates coordination processes: since the app was implemented, there have been fewer calls from field service employees. They can now pull much of the information they need from the program themselves. The reduction in calls saves time on both sides. In addition to flexible data retrieval options, we also have many analysis options with various Microsoft programs.

Improving Route Planning

Our route planning is now easier and more efficient. We automatically have an overview of all orders planned for a week. Previously, we had to create these manually. Additionally, route planning, including sending the plan to the responsible parties, is completely electronic through the system without any printouts. Here, once again, the significant advantage of Dynamics NAV over other ERP systems is evident, along with the integration of the solution with many other Microsoft programs.

Our conclusion is undoubtedly that Microsoft Dynamics NAV is perfectly tailored to our company. anaptis enabled the customization of the program, thus extending the standard package.”
